The honour is completely mine to be able to read this book earlier than the majority of the readers. Let me start with that. But let me say, if you are a fan of horror and Tylor Paige, you wont be disappointed in this read. I was so caught up in this book that I read over half of it in one day. I dropped all responsibilities and just kept reading because the story line and plot was just down right delicious. Make this your next read right away.
I was honoured to have Tylor Paige reach out and asked to read this book. We have been working together for a little bit now as I make sticker designs around her book and now I had the honour of having early access to Good For Her. So I took my time with this read until finally I couldn’t anymore. I spent all day yesterday reading because I couldn’t put this book down. It had my attention from the start but I wanted to savour it as long as I could. Well that didn’t last long and I proceeded to finish the book right away.
Good For Her is about Evie and Sebastian, childhood friends turned into couple. Evies mom was an actress that starred in the same movie as Sebastian. He was only a young kid at that point. So Evie got to grow up behind the scenes on set while her mom was a single parent and living her dreams. Evie and Sebastian created their own language so that not everyone could pick up on what they were saying. But when Evies mom “commits suicide” their dynamic completely changes.
So what happens when Evie grows up and starts finding out the truth? What happens when she sees Sebastian for the first time since her mothers death. What is up Evies sleeve for her mysterious return to show business when she wasn’t part of it to begin with? Our Final Girl is about to dish out all the horror she knows. Who does she have her eyes set on?
So many questions and so many answers are given in Good For Her!
Author Tylor Paige continues to remind me why I am addicted to her writing. I fell so hard for her in Beautiful Little Freaks. Then I started Slash or Pass but ended up having to divert that plan so I could read Good For Her. Each book I am reminded how much I adore her writing style and truly appreciate the pace she gives to her books. She gives so much detail in an appropriate amount of pages. I feel like I can create the entire scene in my head and Im not like “ugh, this many pages left.” Its the opposite, Im like “dang it! Only this many pages left.” I am always falling for her characters and enjoying the little jokes dropped through out.
Check your trigger warnings on this book before you start but if my dark romance girls need a rec, this is it! You need it because the darkness but also because of the dark humor. Ok let me just say the hot tub moment, (you’ll completely understand once you get to it) I definitely lived, laughed, loved during the commentary of that moment. Tylor Paige, this group and their alibi ideas, top notch jokes right there. Adored!
10/10 recommend! Check trigger warnings. Dive head first if the warnings work for you!
