Chapter 23. When you get to chapter 23, listen to how he talks about his woman. Then just sit there and really let that sink in. We may have had to wait till the end of the book to read/hear it but go on and really enjoy hearing how he’s obsessed with his woman. 

That is what I need from you. I audio booked this one as I have been from the start with this series but I also adore being able to visit this series whenever I want. So if I start a series on audio then I have to finish the series on audio. I am not a big fan of mixing audio and reading for series but this series especially, I am stuck on audio. 

We meet Tara and Arturo in the previous book in this series but here they are with their very own book. This is the most classic enemies to lovers book but make it mafia. Now let me also say, I actually was obsessed with the fact that this didn’t become lovers until about the last 25% of the book. Like how crazy is it that they held out that long?!?! To which they even had moments before where they showed signs that they liked each other but they kept being enemies that they couldn’t tell! 

 Oh did I also forget to tell you that this was an arranged marriage/ deal marriage. A trying to grow the ties stronger than they were to begin with. Arturo is second in command with the Italian mafia. Tara is the sister of the man in charge of another mob group. Look this is the detail I forgot this time. (at least I freaking remembered the names!) I wanna say it was Russian but I cannot be sure. She is the sibling though that keeps getting into messes and her brother ends up cleaning it up. But let me say, its like she knows she got herself into a bind and she tries her hardest to get out of it but it ends up her brother needs to come get her out of it. So when Arturo blackmails her into the arranged marriage, she felt this was the time she really needed to own up to her mistakes and take care of it on her own. So thats what she did. She made demands on their prenup and sold the story that she was in love with Arturo. 

Little does she know that her brother and Arturos boss have a meeting and the Don ends up telling the brother everything that goes on. But also makes her brother not say a word that he knows. The Don essentially called out the brother for always cleaning up Tara’s messes. So it was like everyone knew Tara needed to clean this up but everyone didn’t know that each other knew. Convoluted if I do say so myself. But thats what Tara does. She cleaned this up but also happened to fall in love with her husband. But like her husband also falls in love with her. It just takes us till chapter 23 to find that out. 

Ok that is all we gonna share now. You must read the rest to find out what happens. 

This series continues to produce one delicious couple after another. This is book 11 and I would say this is tied for 5th place. I just have the first three books and Sweet Prison as my top picks. Literally there is only one book in this entire series that I wasn’t so excited about. Still did the audio for the book but I have other books in this series that I will relisten to first. 

With this series, you do not have to read in order! But I would absolutely recommend you read the other books before this book. We see about 2 different couples in this book and it will help with understanding the dynamics if you read their books first. But you can get through this book without doing so. So don’t overrun yourself if you’re dying to read this book. Just be better than me with names!! Don’t be like Spitfire! Actually, wait, be like Spitfire and become obsessed with this series. You’ll thank me later!
