“Don’t make me lose you.” Oh that one hit hard. But hold on, it was followed up with… “I’m broken.” “I’m broken too. We can fit our pieces together until we are whole.” Those were the lines that got me good in the heart. May a love like this always find me.
Bare with me y’all. It’s gonna be a rocky review. Yo girl did it again where I took too long to write this review and I am in like 2 other books at the same time now. I did get the CNC done shortly after finishing this audio but the blog… yea I waited too long and now I am going to do my best to write this. Also, I’m forgetting names. I swear I am trying. I just am not in the swing of things like I wish I was.
Ok lets start with the fact that we meet the FMC in the first book in this series. The FMC’s in both books are foster sisters but call each other sister. They are each others rocks. We just know that Sweet Venom’s FMC (I forgot her name) is like the mother of the two. She is always helping others and taking care of anyone she can. She sees someone in need and she is figuring out how to help them. Her coworker has a little kid and she helps babysit so the coworker can go to court for custody. She’s also trying to provide whatever her sister wants and makes sure she doesn’t go without. That is the type of person she is.
Jude, the MMC, is the opposite. He is a hockey player that spends time in the sin bin every game. He has no problem being aggressive and pushing back. He is best friends with the first books MMC as well. Their families all belong to the same syndicate and they work together to take care of “issues.” Jude loves going out and taking out anyone the syndicate needs taken out. Thats his absolute favorite thing to do.
So how is it that these two cross paths and its not because they are forced to be friends or to hang out? How is it that Jude changes his mind and slowly starts falling for the FMC? He starts out as a stalker for very different reasons and then turns to stalking because he has feelings for the FMC. But what crossed their paths to begin with?
OOO you gonna have to read to find out! Or join me and audiobook this one! Yo girl has been surviving off audiobooks. So I am going to keep recommending the audiobooks to all!
This may just be another book in a series I adore but I genuinely love seeing what Rina Kent comes up with next. To watch how she mixes everyones stories to fit but to also mesh well, is probably one of my favorite things to watch. I love that we are getting what feels like a “second generation” with this series but in reality it is a family member from a different series. How does she do it?!?!
Sweet Vemon is book 2 in this series. If you would like to start reading, I recommend starting with Beautiful Venom first!!!
