What a fun way to retell Hansel and Gretel. It’s like we get the chance to see the aftermath of everything they have been through. So instead of reading the whole story in a retelling its more of a what did they deal with after it all. But in a Novella sized read. I was absolutely hooked! 

This is a short one people. I can’t help it. This is a Novella that is only about 84 pages long. We cannot give away all those details. I need you to read it too!! 

This story picks up a few years after Hansel and Gretel were taken and then they fought their way away from the witch. They have gone their own way and haven’t spoken to each other since. Now in the story, you hear each of their perspectives as to why that happened but I wont give away that detail. After years of silence, Gretel makes her way back to Hansels doorstep. 

It may have felt like the wrong thing when she was on the doorstep but it was the absolute right thing to do. You see Gretel has started to see thing appear and its making her concerned. Things are being placed where they shouldn’t be while she’s sleeping. So she’s concerned that the witch may not be dead. With Hansels help, they venture into the woods and find the witches house. 

This is literally as far as I can take you my friend. I warned you it would be a short one. It really is. But the rest of the story will be something you absolutely love. It is such a cute take on how their story ends. I think that gives enough of a smile/happy moment. 

Any time I see Willow Winters & Amelia Wilde paired together, I know I am about to love this book. Y’all their cowriting is so good. It always feels like I devour the book when I start. I know this was an audio for myself but still that took no time and it felt like it went by in a blink. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little mad it was done so fast.
