Why did this have to be over so fast? I would like an extended copy of this book please!! Ok maybe I’ll just ask for another book in this world. There are lots of characters we could work with but can we go back? This world sounded so dreamy and cozy. To which maybe I shouldn’t say such a thing when you read the last 15-ish% of the book. But actually, never mind, I stand with what I said! Can we have more? 

Sadly this is another book where I wont be getting into it much y’all. Its a novella size book. A small 118 pages for y’all. So you know I don’t give away all the details in a blog like usual because that will just be a full retelling and thats just not my way of working! So let’s lightly dive into this one!

What I will say is Calliope was trying her hardest to make it to a hotel reservation she had but sadly this was just not her night. After about 5 different issues, she ends up asking for directions. These directions end up taking her to a place that she didn’t know she needed to find. One rough night ends up turning her world completely upside down. 

I mean, what are you supposed to do if you find out everything you knew was a half truth? What if you found out you were lied to your whole life? What if this one mistake ends up pointing you to where you were always meant to be? These are just some of the things Calliope deals with in such a short amount of time. Somethings she didn’t realize she needed to question until now. Now she questions everything to learn about her true self. 

Author Rochelle Paige definitely had me excited to read Tall, Dark & Horny. This is actually my first book with Rochelle Paige and it wont be my last. I loved how this was so descriptive and movie like in my mind but it was to the point. With the length of the book, novella size, I enjoyed being able to feel like she explained every dynamic but also told a full story. This felt like a full length book instead of a novella because of the amount of details packed into this book. Yet at the same time, this wasn’t overwhelming in any way! I absolutely loved the MC dynamic and felt like they held true to themselves through out the book. A strong MMC and a more submissive FMC. All paired with multiple strong side characters. I loved seeing the entire group and hope to honestly see some more!
