Check your trigger warnings first!! That is what I am going to start out by saying. Please check those warnings because it was a list and there were a lot of things that may not sit right with everyone. But at the same time, dark romance girlies, I was obsessed with this entire book and I think you will love it too!
What is up everyone?!?! I know, long time no blog. Y’all I hate to say that reading slump may be a little bit of a permanent thing. Well at least for the time being. I do not like it at all but I am being real. Now heres the upside, I have a lot of books coming up that I will be giving my attention to! I have some ARC’s and opportunities that will end up in a book review. But because I have been out of the review game for so long, I genuinely kinda forgot to review this book the moment I finished it. So this review is going to be so different and most likely short compared to my normal reviews. My apologies for not being my normal blogging self! Ya know what? Maybe once I get my head above water on catching up with reads, I’ll listen to this one again and do a better review! Let’s try that!
Graves, dark romance girls will love this book! Graves is about two brothers that fall for the same girl. Oh and let me not forget to say that the brothers are twins. That’s a key detail because one brother, we will call him Z, finds the FMC first and falls first. But he ends up getting locked up and asks his brother, we will call him D, to keep an eye on her and the poor dude ends up falling for her too. (This is where my blogging is slipping because I forget all names right now) She didn’t know that Z existed so when she meets D, she falls for him.
Sadly though the boys run with some dark groups. They basically “clean up” problems that others may have. That is mainly Z’s job while D runs their legitimate businesses. When they catch wind that the FMC may be in danger D ends up devising a plan to get her to move into his house. To which good move but what happens when your twin gets out and realizes “his girl” is in his brothers bed. Yea, I’m not spilling those details one bit. But one thing I will say is chapter 33 had me smiling and wanting to pinch Z’s cheeks so much. Y’all that chapter is dark but the way he lit up knowing he was conquering the FMC’s past struggles…. ugh, swooning! And when you get to that chapter, I’m just reminding you that this is my opinion. haha You’re more than welcome to differ in opinions than what I am. I genuinely know thats a thing.
Now what happens when you think your girl is safe in your home but the threat knows how to get in. How do you keep her safe? Because what if your plan is sound but still manages to fail? How do you keep the person you’re obsessed with safe?
This is not my first book by Katelyn Taylor and surely it will not be my last. I absolutely adore her writing style and truly hate that it takes me so long to get to another one of her books. She is one of my go to authors when I need a book I know I will love. There is something about her writing style that I cannot get over. This book has been sitting on my TBR since it was released and I just finally got to it. I really need to stop pushing off books like this. Audio is definitely what’s keeping me afloat. But now I need to relisten to this one ASAP and write a better review. I promise it will be so stinking entertaining! Like my normal blogs! But we will get there!!
