“Ive survived thing I shouldn’t have survived. I’ve become indestructible. No one has been able to take me down. But now, I know my little savage will be the death of me.” If you haven’t read The Bone Reaper yet and like dark romance, let this be the sentence that makes you change that status. Do check the trigger warnings. This book starts in some dark moments for the FMC and the Reapers work is a dark topic. But otherwise, go read this book and let it be exactly what you didn’t know you needed.

I hate to say it but lately the reviews are too detailed because I keep finding the books that I can’t give much away or it will ruin the entire story line. So my apologies on this because I want to go in depth but then I would risk spoiling the entire book for you all. To which, I am just not about that life!! You must enjoy it yourself!

We meet Charlotte as she is stuck in a domestic violence type relationship. She doesn’t feel like she can leave the relationship even though she knows she should leave. Her best friend Lily has even been working to find ways to get Charlotte out of this situation. But finally Lily gives up and reaches out to the Bone Reaper. Now give up isn’t the proper term. She never gave up. I would say she realized she needed more help than what she could provide.

The Bone Reaper shows up to finish the job when he enters and finds a peculiar scene in front of him. (insert skipping details now) Reaper ends up taking Charlotte back to his house where he lets her stay. Charlotte doesn’t want to be a weak person anymore and decides she is going to learn how to defend herself and how to fight in general. So with Reapers help, that is exactly what she does. She becomes the opposite of what she once was and made a name for herself.

Sadly this is where I have to leave off because once again, any more details will completely give away too many details. You need to read this one.

This is the second book I have read from author Kayla Marie and I will say this was completely different from the first book. Yet, I absolutely love both books so much. I can’t recommend them enough. But The Bone Reaper, yea if you need to swoon over a man that falls for a lady, Reaper is your man. Also can we talk about Charlotte’s sense of humor??? I absolutely adored it. This book will be recommended to all of my dark romance peeps!! It’s not too dark but it does give a bit of detail.

To Kayla Marie, I hope your pillow always stays cold. May your coffee or morning drink of choice always hit perfectly. May you always feel like a badass. Thank you for yet another wonderful read. I am so ready to read more from you!
