The Witch’s Fate

You ever pick up a book and think “let’s see where this journey takes me!!” Then by the end of the book you sit back and feel satiated. Yet some how you also are sitting there like “uhhh did it have to be finished yet?” Thats the best I can do to describe this book. I genuinely was curious how this book was going to go but then I finished and wished there was more to read.

I think what I enjoyed the most though was the fact that I was able to really get into and create this magical space in my head. Like I pictured a secluded house in the woods that has a space around the house that is just meadows. Then from there, we were covered in woods. But it has this peaceful, Ella Enchanted vibes. A space where the FMC could just be happy and live the life she wanted. Yet inside her house, it was fully of crystals, potion ingredients, made potions, and old fireplace, text books and just an open floor plan to the house. One that was cozy and vibrant with possibilities. That is what I pictured in this book and my mind was all about the cozy feelings that came through these pages.

The FMC and the MMC both have come to the conclusion that they will live a life on their own. Now the MMC actually works for the Royal family but he is dead set that he will never find a mate. Ooop hold up, let me tell you, the FMC is a witch and the MMC is a wolf shifter. Ok, now you can follow along better. I wont say why they both felt that was going to be their destiny but they both felt like they were meant to live life alone. The FMC even cast a spell around her to keep herself secluded and not seen by everyone in the world. That right there is determination if I have ever seen it!!

So what happens when the MMC can’t return home because his crystals aren’t working? He must turn to the witch in hopes she can help him power the crystals and return. But what if she can’t even form the portal to take you home?

I wish I could continue on talking about this book but this is another one where the book is so small and a quick read, that I cannot speak too much about it. I just need this to be another moment where you all trust me and read it because of how delicious the story was in my head. I absolutely adored how these characters were depicted and I truly wish this book was a longer story than what it is. I wanted more, so so much more!

This book gave me all of the Halloween vibes and I am not gonna lie, I am ready for fall now. I am two seconds from pulling out the cardigans, fall coffee, pastries and anything else fall vibes. To the point, I plan to purchase this book so I can actually reread it during spooky season. This isn’t spooky or dark in any way but it just have me the cozy Halloween vibes that I will absolutely adore reading when I start getting into the spooky season.

Author Willow Winters is back at it with yet another delicious read. I have read some of her other books and I will say, this is ranking in the top 3 books that I love from her. Genuinely, I love her writing style but this one I just loved how it truly captured my attention and made the pictures in my mind so vivid. It felt like I was actually in the book watching everything unfold. Those are the books I adore with every fiber of my being. This book definitely has me ready to pick up more of Willows collection off the bookshelf and see where it can take me next!!

Willow Winters fans, what should I read next?
