Dear Mr Ellis,

I regret to inform you that your title of “Favorite Cleo White MMC” has been removed and herby transferred to Dar Wilder. I am so very sorry that we have to move to such measures but one must when a piece of their heart went with a different book hunk. Please do know that you will still be sitting in Second place but I feel that is perfect for you as your book is called Second Edition.

Dar Wilder, You’re It. You have made the cut for first place in my love for Cleo White men. Please take your trophy with honor! I hope that you stay in this position for a while but please do know I am only two books away from being caught up on all Cleo White’s men.

I think my theatrics can be finished….. for now. Oh who am I kidding, we all know that’s not happening. Let’s get into it!

To start, this book genuinely had me in the feels a bit! I had some moments when I was like “ouch Charlie, that really hurt.” (See I wasn’t done with my theatrics.) It started off when Savvy, our FMC, has to take over everything that her dad left her when he passed. To which isn’t an easy thing to do in general but let’s also add that her father left a lot of debt behind and a very run down business. Sadly her father trusted the wrong person and that is where the business went into the toilet. (That comment is funny when you read the book and find the toilet moment. I’m not spoiling that for you.) Ok, fine, we sell the business to someone that is interested in fixing it up! Right?!

Wrong. Absolutely wrong. See that would be too easy. Just selling is the path anyone would chose. But the issue is the market isn’t doing great and Savvy finds out that her father isn’t the only owner to this business. Nope. Turns out, her fathers best friend, Dar, is actually a co-owner as well. Now with selling out of the picture, she must turn to her life long crush and ask for his help with getting the business back up and running.

This is where the heart break comes in. Dar has OCD and when Savvy comes to ask for help, he is in the middle of a flare up of his OCD. He ends up just giving Savvy a credit card to help pay for the repairs and renovations to the business. Sad memories come to the forefront of Savvy’s mind while she is in Dar’s house and she can’t get out of there fast enough. With one last helpful moment to Dar, she leaves in a hurry.

What happens when your crush ends up showing up to help repair the business you’re father once loved? How do you walk with your crush through his struggle with OCD? Will you only stay friends or will the lines blur?

That is all answered when you read You’re It! As you may have guessed, this is where we leave off. I can’t spoil the goods for you. There are so many moments in this book of small heartaches but at the same time big smiles. You root for the MC’s but at the same time yell at them too. All while having compassion for someone with a mental health struggle.

Author Cleo White definitely moved this book to number one in my rankings of Cleo White books. I was sitting with Second Edition and Out of Sight as some of my top two books but sadly now I will say top three. You’re It definitely was a fun story line especially since this all revolved around laser tag. I can safely say I have never read a book like this one and that is completely fine with me.

I truly loved the entire dynamic of this book and it has me excited to start the next Cleo White book. I’ll share that pick soon!
