The beginning of chapter 1 is where you will instantly fall in love. Well honestly you probably already did in the prologue but the first few lines of chapter 1 had me in stitches. Being kidnapped is one thing but being kidnapped with a full bladder is just rude…. I was cackling. Ok let me be honest, that wasn’t fully quoted but paraphrased. Either way, you get it and you can bust up the entire time. This alone should make you say it’s your next read. 

This doesn’t even begin to cover the fact that her father told her to stop hacking into peoples accounts and she’s like “yep, wont do it again.” To which we can all understand how much that was not listened to. Haha. The banter, it’s always the banter with Neva Altaj. The “parent” series to this series always had me in stitches while reading. I started out reading the entire series and then moved to audiobook with them. I loved them so much and needed my husband to listen to the masterpiece. Hence moving to audio. He only can do audio since he rarely has time to sit down and listen to books. But now he has no excuse! 

This story starts out 20 years prior, unbeknownst to both MC’s. They crossed paths year before when the MMC saves the FMC. Well let’s also say that the MMC put her in danger too, he just didn’t know it until the last minute and saved her life. Then he became a ghost and left. To which, for the FMC’s culture, they would have made this a marriage oath. To save someones life like this, they would have arranged a marriage between the MC’s. So when the MC became a ghost, they didn’t push for this tradition. 

Yet fate has a funny way of working and she ends up being kidnapped by his men for hacking their security systems. She spends the next few months in his house “fixing what she messed up.” In reality he was messing up more so she could stay longer. She finally get to go home when she realized this was not in fact what she wanted. She just needed to have a bit of time away to make sure. This relationship needed to work because both parties loved each other not because he finally has someone interested in him and not his money, and for her, she finally found someone not wanting to only be with her for her looks. While both showed that they were not after the others insecurities, they needed to spend time away to really see if this relationship had love or just “I found someone.” No settling. Nope! 

To which they realize this but they may have realized it just a little too late. 

Beautiful Beast is the start of a new series by Neva Altaj. There is an entire series that this series derives from. We are seeing the kids grow up! I absolutely love this dynamic! You can read this book without reading the parents book. You will not be confused at all. But I did absolutely love that series and its worth adding to your TBR! I believe the parent series is up to 10 books now. But don’t cry, they are so good, it feels like you read them in no time! Neva Altaj has continued to knock it out of the park with her writing. I loved seeing the dynamic between these two and loved seeing that they both held to their standards. They didn’t just let it slide because they found someone. I loved seeing how their love slowly burned and finally came to the point where they knew this was the one for them. This is only the first book but I really look forward to the entire series!!!
