Heelllooo Daddy Judah!!! *fans oneself* Where have you been?!?! You see, its a bit rude that we just only met now and I’m just getting the chance to see you fall in love. I needed to see this love story a long time ago. Ok, I’ll get over myself and be happy that I finally got to read this wonderful journey.

Let’s start off the fact that this was a love at first stare? It surely wasn’t a simple look they had to be locking eyes for a few moments. So love at first stare seems to be a better term. Any who, they instantly fell for each other but sadly shortly after they realized just who each other was. But this is where Judah becomes daddy… He doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap.

You see Isobel has a family that like to play favorites and she is not the favorite. Judah though does what he can to keep everything cordial until enough is enough. He finally lost it and spoke up about how Isobel’s family treats her. That’s when his daddy side comes out.

Y’all this is such a short book that I can’t go into much more details without giving the whole book away. I fell in love with the fact that Judah was so willing to stand up for Isobel when she just couldn’t. When you live in that environment, its easier to get through the interactions with just keeping your mouth quiet. If you don’t rock the boat then you don’t have to hear about their thoughts as much. Obviously the family is still going to give their opinions but its not as bad when you stay quiet. She didn’t live near the family either so she doesn’t have to worry about her time with them often. But Judah, he just came in and instantly saw the writing on the wall and started paving his own path. He subtly stood up for her while also falling in love with her. He ultimately does become vocal about his thoughts on their favoritism but that was his last straw so to speak.

We all need a Judah in our lives. Someone that is absolutely head over heels in love with us. Someone that will stand up for us. Someone that will call us out on our dreams and tell us to push for them! Someone that is obsessed with us. Everyone needs that in their life.

Author Cleo White writes a beautiful story with age-gap deliciousness through out. I am obviously obsessed! But I truly liked how the family was depicted as I feel like this is actually a dynamic that a lot of people deal with. Something that we don’t always want to call into light. But also in the book world, this could be shown off in a few different directions. This one though was one of my favorite ways. This book had many delicious spicy moments and at one point my jaw was on the floor and we were surprised. Let’s just say… the first time they had a bit of fun…. Jaw was on the floor. I’m leaving you at that and telling you that you just gotta take my word for this one and read this one right away!!!
