This is the first and surely not the last that I will be reading a book from Haven Fox. I will absolutely be coming back for some more reads by her and soon. If you haven’t read any of her books, well jump in on Claiming Veronica and join me on this wonderful ride. 

I am not fully sure how it was to write about someone with such medical difficulties but sitting back and reading it, chef’s kiss. Ok so I am medically complex myself and to see how this was depicted, it was beautiful. Now I am no where near the same medical complications as this book but I resonated with this book so much. The FMC, shoot I understood everything she was doing and thinking. I personally feel a majority of that all the time. There was a moment when the MMC knew that everyone needed to stop treating the FMC with kid gloves. He stepped in and helped her along her health journey but also didn’t do it so she didn’t have freedom. 

Eli, the MMC, was truly a heartbreaking character to read about. Yet at the same time I fell in love with him. Elli dealt with so much while he grew up but thankfully he also had his friends with him that he made along the way. Now the heartbreak was seeing how those friendships didn’t stick and he ended up loosing those friends. He gained his family but still to hear he lost the family of his choice, that one hurt. But what really broke my heart was to see how even all of this negative still didn’t make him loose the ability to love and show love to Veronica, the FMC. 

Author Haven Fox really wrote a beautiful book that is full of so many emotions. I may be partial seeing as it really tied into my life struggles but I think this is a must read by many. Y’all need to read this book right away. Watch the love that Eli and Veronica have for each other. Also watch as Eli does all he can to support Veronica during her medically complex life. This one will warm the heart while also being a dark romance read. This does have some triggers so I recommend checking those before you start this book. But I will say this isn’t too dark of a read. Just the right amount!!!
