What in the world did I just read and why is it over already????? Excuse me while I go back to reread this delicious book. I wasn’t ready to let it go yet. So I am leaving and going to go back to The Reaper’s Vice hole that I was so cozy in! Please allow another week before I am expected to make an appearance with life. Thank you!

I’m not fully sure I can give my typical review to this book because I don’t want to give anything away with the details. So I am going to not do my standard but we are going to still chat about this book and how you absolutely need to devour this book too!

It starts with the fact that this book is actually book 3 in the series. So when I signed up for this ARC I did not see that detail until I went to actually start the ARC read. To which, at that point, I grew concerned about how this book would go since I have not read the other two books. Yet, here’s the thing, Mindy Paige wrote this book so well that she actually gives an overview of what has happened in the first two books so you can jump in as if nothing was missed. Then we hear about the characters and instantly feel like we have been hanging out with them for years now. It felt like I have been best friends with the entire friend group and I knew their backstories. So jumping into book 3 really wasn’t the struggle I was expecting. Now, I will be reading the first two books though because now I am curious about their love stories and how amazing they were for the fights they put up.

The little bit that I will give is that Orion is a stalker that is in jail for a crime that he did not commit. He just felt the guilt of not being able to keep someone safe and admitted to the crime instead. So to jail he went until he finally felt like he was done with his time. Obviously he didn’t actually serve his time fully, he decided he was done serving his time. Off he went to leaving prison. I personally am obsessed with how his plan worked out!

Orion meets Seraphina at a bar and thats when the stalking happened. I’m not going to lie, I was busting up when I read about all the things he did to keep tabs on her. I will use the example of cameras but I wont spell anything else out. You gotta read that one first hand. He was head over heels in love with her on first meeting. She didn’t realize what she got herself into until she too was starting to have feelings. My favorite part though, he was blunt and told her exactly that he was stalking her and how he got out of prison. She just truly thought he was making it all up and didn’t believe him. Something tells me she should have! Hahaha

Author Mindy Paige was able to write a book that was interconnected in a series but also made it so you didn’t feel confused by jumping into the series part of the way through. While I haven’t read the rest, I feel comfortable to say this entire series is beautifully written. The Reaper’s Vice captured my attention from the start and I was itching to finish this book so I could see how everything ended. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting the ending we were given. That is always a wonderful time to be surprised with a different ending than what we were expecting. I look forward to reading more from Mindy Paige as this book was only the catalyst to my Mindy Paige journey. I will be all up in her business from this point forward!!! You should too!
