“I KNEW IT!!!!” Is exactly what I yelled while reading that plot twist. Y’all I had a sneaking feeling but I was trying to figure how which way that sneaky feeling was going to go. I was assuming the ending would be how it was but was the person psychotic or were they just that good of a liar? You can’t tell me that character was fooling everyone but dang did they actually fool some people!!! 

Like I would dive into that even further but I can’t without completely giving away spoilers that you don’t want. When I tell you that you need this to be as spoiler free, yea, Im not just blowing smoke up your ass. You genuinely need to read this book without any spoilers. So much so I am not going to do my normal blog post. It will be a basic overview. So let me overview and then speak about this whole whirlwind. 

Wynter is being a freaking fighter and trying to keep her sister and her grow while not having their parents around. She is taken but Bones comes along and takes her back. After that she spends time getting revenge, falling in love and fighting to find her sister. Bones is fighting to get Wynter to fall for him, keep his fathers company and against some bad guys. Their lives quickly entwine and through the entire ordeal, Bones truly has the best intentions set out for Wynter. She may not see that all the time and honestly with what she goes through, she deserves to be skeptical, but she surely sees it by the end of the book. Bones has an unorthodox way of doing life but, like I said, he is doing so much for the best interest of Wynter. It’s a classic case of “misunderstanding” yet two people were doing things to help the other with no ill intent. It just comes off all wrong when everything hits the light of day. 

Bones though man, Bones….. That man definitely has a screw loose up in the head but let’s be real, we all fantasize about that quality for our book men. So he will be perfect for your drooling. Bones wants someone to be so obsessed about him and the same way around. But I have to say it felt like that was because of the lack of “family” in his life. Now that he has someone that he feels fits what he was looking for, boy does that man go crazy! 

Wynter, Wynter, Wynter, Wynter. Ma’am. I adore you. I think you’re the best thing since sliced bread. How in the world would someone go through what she does but then come out and still have fight left. I mean she has it because she has a sister she is trying to get back to but you gotta still have that spark. That grit. That fight. You have to have that “thing” before you can continue to fight. Yet that woman had it even through everything. She didn’t let that go one bit. I adore your strength. Woman crush over here. 

Author Hana Meadows really had me excited for this book. Now I forgot to say this earlier but this is book too in this series. You can easily start with this book and not feel completely confused. We saw the characters from the first book but we still feel like we got a wonderful understanding of who they are. I didn’t feel lost but I will say reading about them has me excited and planning to go read the first book right away. This book is definitely dark so please check those trigger warnings before you read. But at the same time, if you’re a dark romance girly, you will absolutely fall for this book. I don’t know if it comes natural for author Hana Meadows to write these books or if she has to mentally go to a dark place, but either way, this writing was absolutely delicious. I genuinely felt like I was in their world like a fly on the wall. I felt like I could see everything that was happening. There is a ton of smut in this entire book, so make sure you are ready for a good time. 

I genuinely plan to read more from Hana Meadows, especially the first book in this series! This definitely has me hooked and ready for more! Shoot I think I need a physical copy too! Wonderful writing Hana. Thank you for the time to be on this ARC team!
